I remain captivated by the quality of this piece; its craftsmanship is extraordinary. Inspired by the work of La Marorelle's desk in the Musee d'Orsay Paris, she is not a copy, nor is she likely to be copied. Few have Marc Fish's skill and knowledge born of dedication, experiment and meticulous refinement to attempt such a task.
Details, such of the tambour roll, represent hours of patient research so that it looks like a solid piece of wood. In fact it is a complex lamination never before conceived or achieved. The piece has been widely recognised by furniture makers and has won their praise through a number awards.
