Acoustic Baffles in Metalworking

In order to reduce the noise level in one of its metalworking industrial plants, Dorma Huppe had over 2000 industrial baffles from Rockfon installed at its Westerstede site. The 1.2 x 0.6-m-large white baffles offer an average sound absorption level of 0.66 with a mounting centreline distance of 0.6 m. They can be easily suspended from the ceiling and dismounted if necessary. Facett Brilliant wall absorbers were also installed in two welding booths, and industrial batts were installed as grid ceilings in a workshop. Rockfon recommends that the largely dirt-resistant sound absorbers be used in spaces whose appearance is of secondary importance. Both products have an alpha value of 1.
