Airport Museum in Amsterdam

A 160 square metre comprehensive exhibition space for the Rijksmuseum has been constructed in a golden box on the Holland Boulevard in the Shiphol Airport. The space is divided into two parts by a metal curtain; the first space being dedicated to 17th century Dutch painting while the second is reserved for smaller changing exhibitions. The artworks are presented behind 15 metre long glass walls and are set within vibration buffers. The steel frame structural system of the box is clad with gold anodized aluminium sheeting panels.
