Anisha is a table lamp in the form of an irregular ellipse. It is designed to loosely define a space or void, then to fill that space with light. The lamp has sculptural presence both when it is illuminated and when it is off.
The name Anisha has a double meaning: in Argentinian Spanish "Anisho" means ring, Anisha also pays tribute to the Indian artist Anish Kapoor, famous for his work with elonggated forms and vivid colours.
The lamp has a touch dimmer and uses an LED light source. It is moulded from ABS, a type of thermoplastic, and is produced in white and red. The studio lievore altherr molina that designed the lamp for Foscarini were founded in 1991 and are based in Barcelona.
