Aretz Dürr Architektur

Founded in 2019 by Sven Aretz and Jakob Dürr in Cologne, Aretz Dürr Architektur sees itself as a “constructive laboratory” where practice, teaching, and research work in close tandem. The architects emphasise appropriateness and durability, together with a respectful engagement with nature, the existing fabric, and architectural culture. Their portfolio spans multi-unit housing in dense urban contexts, community buildings, and functional industrial halls. In each case, conventional building standards are critically examined and re-placed with clear, straightforward solutions.
