Atelier du Pont

Anne-Cécile Comar and Philippe Croisier founded their architectural practice in Paris in 1997. Atelier du Pont has since grown into an interdisciplinary team of some 40 employees. According to the architects, “Our approach is holistic. Whether our project is a small, 15 m² store or a 10 000 m² building, we consider all aspects: urban planning, architecture, interior design, furniture, and spatial planning.” Environmental sustainability has always played a major role in their work; in 2008, Comar and Croisier, together with BP Architectures and Phileas and Koz Architectes, founded the Plan02 planning collective, which develops sustainability concepts for buildings. Their headquarters for the housing company RATP Habitat in Paris is made almost entirely of wood, and features a green roof terrace combining recreation and farming.
