Atelier RAUM

Julien Perraud, Thomas Durand, and Benjamin Boré established their architecture practice Raum in Nantes in 2009. Since then, their work has encompassed a wide range of scales and programmes – from art projects and housing to spaces for education, work, and culture. The studio has received multiple awards, most recently the 2024 Prix Dejean from the French Académie d’Architecture, recognising its overall body of work. “Every site and every task is unique,” the team emphasises. Their architecture aims to create meaningful connections – between the local and the global, and between built forms and the environments in which they are situated. A compelling example of their work is the public swimming pool in Saint-Méen-le-Grand.
