DETAIL research event series – Building the Future

On six consecutive afternoons, DETAIL research will discuss selected architectural-research focal topics at BAU 2013. Representatives from architecture, research and industry will highlight the latest developments. The current state of research will be outlined at the start of each presentation. DETAIL research White Cube (powered by BAU 2013)

From 14-19 January 2013 DETAIL research will organize and manage a meeting and presentation space for companies at the BAU 2013 fair for communicating with the DETAIL community. An exclusive selection of pioneering prototypes, materials and raw materials will be displayed and valuable context information on the exhibited prototypes and raw materials gathered through questioning and surveys. The feedback provided by architects and contractors will help manufacturers with further development and application identification. The DETAIL research White Cube will be prominently located in the gallery at the east entrance of the Messe München - one of the two main entrance gates to BAU 2013.

The costs of DETAIL research White Cube participant status at BAU 2013 are as follows:
White Cube participation "Basic" 1,500 euros (fee for the inclusion of a product innovation in the White Cube including a brief product description and manufacturer contact information)
and White Cube participation 3,500 euros:

• Basic fee for inclusion of a product innovation in the White Cube, including a short product description and manufacturer contact information
• Inclusion of the corporate logo on the outer surface of the White Cube
• Implementation and editorial evaluation of a survey on the displayed product
• Extensive product-specific cross-media support

Book - "Positionen zur Zukunft des Bauens 2013" ("Views on the Future of Construction 2013")

In the autumn of 2013 a book will be published on the results of the BAU Forum 2013 called "Positionen zur Zukunft des Bauens 2013 von Edition DETAIL" ("Views on the Future of Construction - Edition DETAIL"). Architecture shapes the world of tomorrow like no other discipline. For this reason, architects and planners, developers and companies are already defining parameters that will meet future innovations and challenges. The series "Views on the Future of Construction" discusses the future potential for planning, construction and manufacturing processes.
