Green Pitched Roof

The approximately 1000 m2 green pitched roof of the luxury hotel GF Victoria on Tenerife extends over seven floors on both sides of the building. The ZinCo system structure named Steep Pitched Green Roof with Georaster was used here. It is very well suited for pitched roof greening up to a roof pitch of 35°. Since the hotel has even steeper pitches in some places, dense rows of slide thresholds were laid out across the entire width of the roof, consisting of more than 700 Schubfix LF 300 in combination with TRP 80 eave profiles. The WSM 150 water storage mat was then laid, followed by Georaster elements in a two-dimensional composite, with the elements being filled with a locally-produced substrate. In addition, an organic adhesive and a coconut fibre net were applied onto the substrate and plant species chosen suitable for the climate.
