In the restaurant »Alessandro Borghese – Il Lusso della Semplicità« which opened in Milan in 2017, numerous models of sintered stone of the Neolith brand from TheSize contributes to the intended luxury of simplicity.
The famous Italian chef chose the material for its adaptability and seamless integration in the prevailing, character-forming and individual environment. With a floor space of more than 700 m2 the restaurant evokes an atmosphere of a transatlantic cruise ship in the golden 1930s. Neolith Calacatta Silk with a light marble structure was used for the worktop at the bar, the stairs, wall elements and wash basins in the lavatories. Neolith Onyx was used for other wall elements and the floor in the restaurant was covered with the model Neolith Nero Zimbabwe for a dark granite look. Neolith La Bohème with a wood hue was chosen for the floor of the washrooms, while the table tops feature the marble look of Neolith Blanco Carrara BC01. The 100 % natural material, which is manufactured from raw materials such as clay, feldspar, silica and natural mineral oxides, is even present in the serving platters. In addition to its visual properties the high-tech material was chosen not least of all for its zero porosity, which makes it robust, durable and easy to clean and maintain. The interior design was supervised by Alfredo Canelli.
