On 22 June, a lightning strike by the global Spark Your City movement put a smile of the faces of Londoners crossing the Thames on London Bridge. This is sure to have brightened the usual Monday-morning gloom: the grey asphalt had been covered with hundreds of tiles in a kaleidoscope of rainbow colours.
Unfortunately, the vivid mood-lifter disappeared as surprisingly as it had appeared: the blitz was meant to last only one day. But what a fabulous idea- we would like to see this in other cities as well.
