Blokoshka: Eastern-Bloc Architecture in Matryoshka Style

Photo: Zupagrafika
The Polish-Spanish design studio Zupagrafika, established by David Navarro in 2012, has created a monument to these typical buildings – naturally out of recycled paper. This set of four embossed and prefolded high-rises can easily be assembled without scissors or glue. Accurate in every detail, except the anachronistic satellite dishes, the paper houses capture the essence of an era.
The Blokoshka set of four provides another taste of Eastern Europe in that the assembled buildings can be halved and nested inside each other, just like a classic matryoshka doll.
