Cardboard cathedral: Christchurch, New Zealand by Shigeru Ban.

Scheduled to be completed in late April, this cardboard Cathedral designed by Shigeru Ban is a superb response to the devastating earthquake suffered by Christchurch New Zeeland in February 2011.
Using cardboard tubes as structural members, the cathedral is a temporary replacement for the city's old cathedral badly damaged by the earthquake.
The building can accommodate up to 700 people and will hold sermons and concerts. The building has a life span of around 20 years.
Gratitude to inhabitat.
