Centenary Hall in Bochum

Constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, this industrial complex was still in use as a factory works hall up to the 1980s and was eventually extensively renovated to become a most unconventional present-day location for theatre. In order to protect the original character of the heritage listed building from destruction, incompatible usages and spaces have been accommodated within the two newly built extensions.
