Decagon tent
The Decagon tent is a series of tents designed by Logos that can be interconnected to form a larger tent structure - or a small town.Decagon tent by Japanese outdoor equipment company Logos is a series of outdoor structures that can be used separately or linked together to create larger, more complex spaces.
The tents are modular elements that can stand as individual sections or that could work as a single traditional tent. There are four main modules that can be joined to one another: Decagon Link, Link Dome, Link Screen and Car Joint Tarp.
A special fastening system allows attaching them to one another in a multitude of arrangements to create interior environments of any size and composition. It is also possible to connect the tent composition to several cars and thus enlarge the usable space even further.
The Decagon tent project was presented last month at the Good Design Award 2011 exhibition at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub and was among 72 other shortlisted products on show.
