Dizzying prospects: A cocktail lounge on the brink

The Mexican architectural office Tall Arquitectos has released some details of their concept for the Bire Bitori restaurant, which is to overhang the edge of the canyon. As if the breath-taking beauty of the wild canyon, the spectacular views into its depths and the famous Basaseachi waterfalls were not enough, the architects also propose a glass floor for an area intended for guests in the lower part of the two-storey structure. The upper part of Bire Bitori will probably be more appealing to the faint of heart, and features a pool where one can swim one's rounds high above the canyon floor. Now it will be interesting to see whether the project will be actually carried out.
