“Emptyfull”a sculpture by Bill Pechet, Winnipeg, Canada.

The sculptor Bill Pechet took his inspiration for this piece from the phenomenon of weather and human endeavour. He relates this to the city of Winnipeg. It sits on the prairie where the vastness of sky, and the weather that it carries is enormously powerful. Yet enveloped within the city is a reservoir of human creativity and activity.
There are 18 summer and 9 winter light sequences developed in collaboration with lighting designer Chris Pekar of Lightworks and manufacturer Lumenpulse. The installation uses 28 colour changing LED luminaires.
The sculpture sits in the square of the Millennium Library Winnipeg.
Gratitude to the contemporist for drawing my attention to this work.
