With a total volume of EUR 6.7 billion, the promotional loans granted by the KfW in 2008 exceeded that of the previous year. Irrespective of the specific details of particular projects, the rule of thumb is: the more efficient the building the better the financing package available through the two KfW promotional programmes ‘Energy-Efficient Construction’ and ‘Energy-Efficient Rehabilitation’.
