There is no let -up in the perception that taller is better, at least in some quarters.

DBI Design has recently been completed and is ranked as the 50
th tallest building in the world at 305.3m. It is only the 12
th tallest building in the United Arab Emirates.
The attractions of building tall to make a statement are obvious, but tall buildings seldom look good in isolation, the Eifel Tower being an obvious exception. Etihad Towers solves that by its massing as a cluster of towers in one composition. Perhaps not quite as heroic as the construction of Shanghai's
