Evocative illustrations by Atelier Olschinsky.
Look closely into these interesting illustrations and their architectural qualities begin to emerge. Sections, plans, details, landscapes and entire cities even. They were created by Atelier Olschinsky, a small Viennese based graphic design practice that works in photography, art direction and illustration.
The works here are from Structures 3 and Pixel City II. They are exploratory art pieces created independently from the firm's main line of commercial work.
These illustrations would make a very good student project. Students might start with the illustration and develop the same image into an architecture, construction details and urban designs through successive transformations...that would be very interesting!
