Fabricate 2024 – Creating Resourceful Futures

The fifth edition of the internationally renowned Fabricate conference will take place from 4 to 6 April 2024 at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen. The three-day event is of global importance for the exploration and exchange of innovative and radical ideas in design, architecture, engineering and construction. Questions of resource awareness, bio-based design and manufacturing strategies are at the centre of attention.

Presentations and panel discussions will focus on topics such as the circularity and reuse, local sources of resources and rationalised working methods. The sessions will be moderated by personalities from architectural research and practice, and this year's keynote speakers will be Anna Dyson, Zhu Pei, Anders Lendager and Indy Johar.

Sustainability in research and education
The Royal Danish Academy itself focuses strongly on sustainability in research and educational programmes and is therefore the ideal venue for this cutting-edge event. The Holmen Campus on the harbour and in the centre of Copenhagen will not only host the congress, but also the exhibition "Planetary Boundaries". During the Fabricate conference, this will showcase research findings on the future coexistence of architecture and design with a balanced planet.
