Factory for Leather Goods in Condé

Louis Vuitton, the French fashion concern, attaches great importance not only to the design of its products, but to the architecture of its shops. Indeed, even its production plants are coming to play an increasingly prominent role as an expression of the firm's corporate identity. Near the small town of Issoudun, about 200 km south of Paris, the company has erected a new factory for the production of its leather goods. With its flat, horizontal lines, accentuated by the striking cantilevered roof, the building is harmoniously embedded in the gently rolling rural landscape.
