Fascinating: Hooke Park Big Shed by Piers Taylor and the Architectural Association Design and Make Students.

external perspective

The first project of the Architectural Association Design and Make masters course is just about ready. The Hooke Park Big Shed as it is known, was designed and constructed by the course students under the auspices of Piers Taylor who acted as executive architects. The building uses timber extracted from the surrounding Hooke woodland and prototypical construction techniques that have been developed at the Materials Research Centre at the University of Bath. Embodying the principles of the course the building is the embodiment of research, practice and collaboration. Distant view
