The artist Andrea Hasler, who works out of London, is exhibiting her fashion accessories in a smart quarter of Los Angeles. But nobody will be wearing the exclusive bags, purses and shoes.
The pieces are made from de-constructed designer originals and, using wax and resin, made to look like meat.
Commenting on the fashion industry, and those who are apparently addicted to its products, the works portray both the products and their users as splurging, fatty, minced meat.
From the 7 June to 10 August at the Gusford gallery.
Gratitude to design taxi.
