Flat-roof Refurbishment

The Vario LB renovation system from Kalzip is a system that can be used to renovate flat roofs from 1.5° upwards. The lightweight aluminium construction is suitable for almost all surfaces. The renovation system was used for the first time for a day-care centre near Celle. The originally-planned wooden roof truss in barrel-roof form was redesigned. The reinforced concrete ceiling of the day-care centre allowed a relatively free arrangement of the supports, so that despite a solar system on the roof and a clamped-on, penetration-free fall protection system, a support grid of 1.87 × 2.25 m was achieved. Before the installation of the Vario-LB construction, a bituminous emergency waterproofing was laid on the reinforced concrete slab.
