The designers of this beach front house claim its inspiration comes from many sources: Brazilian domestic architecture of the 60's, the summer, and Stanley Kubrick films! I will throw in Philip Johnson's Glass House and Miese' Farnsworth House in cameo roles.
The basic proposition seems to have been to frame the sea view and have a lot of ostentatious fun. I am not sure about the success of the former, but it certainly achieves the latter.
