Functional spatial sculptures by Tubes Radiatori

The northern Italian family-owned company has been producing designer radiators for the past 25 years, some of which have made it into the permanent exhibitions of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Neue Sammlung in Munich, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. At the company's headquarters in Resana in the province of Treviso, where all production takes place, the drive for innovation becomes clear. Each series is custom-made according to the customer's requirements using specially-developed automation technology and partly by hand. Tubes, together with well-known representatives of the (mostly Italian) design scene, contrasts the functional standard radiator with unusual but always coherent shapes. The architect couple Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, for example, have contributed to the radiator revolution with formally reduced objects such as Soho and Square. The sculptural wall installation add-On by Satyendra Pakhalé can also be used as a room divider, and the foldable Origami model by Alberto Meda has been winning design-prizes since its market launch in 2016. In the search for new solutions for hydraulic and electrical heating systems, the focus is on reducing water consumption and thermal efficiency in addition to the (spatial) design requirement, which is supported by innovative construction methods and rapidly heatable materials such as aluminium. tubesradiatori.com
