Getting better: The Akerman Health Centre by Henley Halebrown Rorrison.

London practice Henley Halebrown Rorrison were featured in the Guardian recently for their healthcare work and in particular their The Akerman Health Centre in Brixton, a deprived quarter of London. The practice has created a building that in scale and function sits between a hospital and the smaller doctor's surgery often found in residential buildings.
The building is located in a notorious housing estate that is currently being refurbished. This facility is therefore seen an important component in the urban regeneration, of the area and will help to provide some clarity to a blighted and jumbled street pattern.
