Happy Birthday! Foscarini’s Lumiere turns 25

Back then, Dordoni designed the lamp, which came to be considered a reinterpretation of the classic lampshade, for the modest lamp manufacturer Foscarini. The lamp’s success has continued to this day, which is a reason to celebrate the design with a special edition. To mark the anniversary, the shade will be available in mouth-blown glass with a reflective metallized surface that is a perfect companion to the characteristic tripod. When the lamp is switched off, the shade reflects its surroundings. Once the lamp is switched on, the light source beneath the shade shines through the metallized glass. The base for the anniversary shade is available in polished aluminum, champagne or black chrome.
