With an impressive three-storey stair construction, Hark Treppenbau won the German Metal Construction Award 2017 in the "Stairs and railings" category.
The Helix staircase was planned for the administration building of a medical-technology manufacturer. One particular challenge were the constantly changing radii while the running width of the steps remained the same. The structure of the free-standing frame elements, too, is very complex.
