High-tech, elegant - but expensive
Since China has opened itself to the West, there has been an enormous construction boom in that country. In recent years, the government and building clients alike have been demanding greater architectural quality, with an eye to attaining international building standards. In this respect, German architecture is regarded as technically accomplished, rationally succinct, elegant in its detail and distinguished by its great transparency. On the other hand, it is also associated with high costs.
