It will be the first building in New York for
Zaha Hadid Architects when this interesting looking residential complex is built. Relatively modest in scale, by comparison to the practice's recent building commissions, it is just 11 stories high and will house approximately 37 residences with some of the apartments up to 550 square metres in area.
Commissioned by Related Companies, the building is designed to interact strongly with New York's linear park, the High-Line. The building is conceived as a series of volumes that flow into each other to create an overall spatial and formal sensibility.
