Honeycomb-plastic Room Dividers

As frameless elements, the acoustically-effective Kandela T38 panels made of PETG plastic can be quickly installed or dismantled. They are available in a width of 1200 mm and are held in place on the floor and ceiling by U-shaped aluminium partition-wall profiles. With blunt butt joints, the edges are closed with transparent edging and joined butt to butt with special transparent adhesive tape. By reflecting the sound in the direction of the absorbing elements, the partition wall has a soundinsulating effect. The white satinised Softtone version has a sound insulation value of 28 dB, while the transparent version has a sound insulation value of 24 dB. The product is lightfast, water- and impactresistant and is classified as fire protection class B1 according to DIN 4102. When furnishing an open-office structure in a new building project in Cologne, Raumqualität, a company specialising in room-acoustic concepts for contract furnishings, chose the acoustic sound-barriers as room dividers, using 120 m² of non-transparent and 30 m² of transparent wall elements.
