Instant Balcony

Whether you want to gaze over the rooftops of the city or simply flip through the latest novel, a balcony can improve your quality of life. It can also be added on with relatively little effort, particularly the Bloomframe Window model.
Developed by the Dutch architecture studio HofmanDujardin, the Bloomframe Window is a two-part window that transforms into a folding balcony in a short time. With the touch of a button, the lower part of the window becomes a stable floor area, while the upper part forms a balustrade. An electric motor and weather-resistant materials guarantee the safety of the airy construction, for stability specifications must be met before sun lizards can set up their new open-air space.
Inventors Dujardin and Hofman wanted to offer apartments and offices more flexibility. In order to match the balcony to the look of the building, the Bloomframe Window is available in several colours, sizes and materials. It is manufactured by Kawneer France. It is no surprise that this innovative project has already won many prizes. For more information, click here.
