Kinetic design is a speciality of this Dutch creator, whose fluffy Cumulus parasol made its debut in Milan last year. In April 2015, they introduced a new project at Design Week, an event that took place in Milan’s Lambrate district.
The Moti lamp series from the Dutch Studio Toer is available as a small table/floor model, but also as models for the wall and floor. What all these lamps have in common is that they are »inflated« to their oval shape and respond to their environment. When it is quiet in the room, Moti moves softly; when things pick up, it reacts accordingly. Any sudden noise startles it and makes it tremble.
Moti was one piece shown at the Moving Design exhibition, where Studio Toer displayed other examples of its kinetic objects.
