Libraries in an Age of Digital Information

At the moment, we are witnessing a veritable boom in the construction of new libraries, despite the fact that a large part of the information such institutions contain is now available online. Libraries will continue to be needed in the future, however, as places for quick reference and for concentrated study, and not least as places of social encounter.
