Current-carrying axis
Light from a Conductive Structure
© Lodes
Lodes is expanding its range of luminaires with the introduction of the Axia, a free-floating pendant whose structural design determines its appearance. Designed by Vittorio Venezia and Carolina Martinelli, the system is based on a central axis that serves as a support and an electrical conductor. Power is conducted through the structure itself, eliminating the need for visible cables. The luminaire body is made of stainless steel with a PVD coating.

The surface is inherent in the material, enabling the transmission of electrical polarities. Axia is available in an 80 cm size and comes in shiny bronze and black chrome finishes. Delicate arms branch off from the central axis to which the lighting elements are attached. The continuous line geometry remains visually calm. The light output is diffuse, providing uniform basic lighting. NG
