Little Shining Man and Three Cubes Colliding. By Heather & Ivan Morison

Little Shining man is a flying sculpture conceived by the artists Heather and Ivan Morison and designed by Alex Sash Reading. The kite shown flying is one of three that will hang in the atrium of a development in St Hellier, Jersey. Once a year the kites will be taken down and flown on the beach.
The structures were engineered and fabricated by Queen and Crawford from carbon fibre struts and Cuben Fibre a non woven fabric. The connection details were made using SLS (Selective Laser Sintering). In all there were 23,000 individual components to the kite.
