Lower Carthusian Guest House, Ittingen

The former Carthusian cloister grounds serves today as a place of encounter and interaction. The lower guest house was to be converted from a simple hostel to hotel accommodation, while a sculptural, colour-drenched hall is inserted into the partially hollowed-out structure. The impact of the pristine white rooms is emphasised by the timber block constructions housing bathroom facilities and wardrobe.
