Masonry

Issues of DETAIL dedicated to building materials typically examine one type: wood, steel or concrete. The corresponding examples are selected based on the building`s primary structural system. But pure masonry structural systems are becoming a rarity, and this cannot be solely attributed to the use of reinforced-concrete slabs. The title of this issue – Concrete, Masonry and Stone – takes this into account and creates the appropriate context for presenting hybrid construction systems; at the same time, this issue provides room for homogeneous forms of construction.
