An unprecedented wealth of products is available, with new ones appearing all the time. At the same time, though, classical building materials like concrete, wood and brickwork, steel and glass also seem to be enjoying a design renaissance. The projects contained in this issue of "Detail" highlight this awareness of materials - both traditional and innovative.
