Mechanical and automatic parking systems are required when the necessary and economically desired number of parking spaces cannot be created to a sufficient enough standard simply with constructional methods. The different systems demand a special know-how, from the planning stage through to the operation, to serve as technically efficient solutions. The article looks at the different forms of parking systems, referring to key points in the planning process.
