The assumption that drawers must hide away in a corner is firmly laid to rest with Mille – Feuille, a furniture concept designed by Japanese designer Emmanuelle Moureaux for German manufacturer Schonbuch.
The concept was inspired by the notion of reams of brightly coloured paper, stacked on top of each other in a slightly disorganized fashion.
The drawers are made from lacquered MDF and come in three versions: There are 21 layers for the high rainbow dresser, 12 layers for the lower sets in green-blue-tones, and eight layers of yellow-pink for the bedside table version.
