The “Matterhorn Glacier Paradise” on the Klein Matterhorn near Zermatt is the highest viewing point in Europe reachable by cable car. Here a new mountain restaurant was built by Peak Architekten (Zermatt/Zürich) and Ingenieurbüro Lauber IWISA, to the Swiss Minergie-P standard. According to this standard, total energy consumption for heating, hot water and ventilation in the building may not exceed 40 kWh/m2a.
