Urban lighting design
Modular lighting system
© Urbidermis
Designed by Gonzalo Milá for Urbidermis, the Rama luminaire is a modular system for lighting urban spaces, characterised by its linear geometry and versatility. The design is based on a cylindrical column and a clearly structured light distribution, allowing the luminaire to be configured in different heights, orientations and mounting options. In a linear arrangement, Rama serves not only to illuminate but also to structurally organise outdoor spaces. It is used in pedestrian precincts, squares and streetscapes, as well as to accentuate facades.

Technically, Rama is designed for flexible integration into urban infrastructures. The luminaire heads can be mounted on cylindrical poles (Ø127 mm), flat supports or adjustable brackets (50/62 mm) with tilt angles between -5° and 90°. In addition to the pole version, wall mounting is also available, for example to illuminate vertical surfaces, transitions or architectural edges.
Various mounting options allow a consistent design language throughout the project. The luminaire is designed to provide both directional and wide-area light distribution. Light emissions are controlled to minimise light pollution and improve visual comfort in public spaces. NG
