Katharina Benz
Katharina Benz is an architect and has been part of the Hild und K Architekten team in Munich since 2013. There, she is responsible for various construction projects as a project manager and, since 2022, also in the role of team leader. Her academic career took her to Konstanz and ETH Zurich. She gained her first professional experience at sehw Architektur and ROBERTNEUNTM Architekten in Berlin.
Her current work focuses on timber and modular construction, among other things. The architect's aim is to show that prefabrication, social responsibility, and design are not contradictions—on the contrary, their combination opens up unexpected freedoms.

Moritz Groba
Over the years, Moritz Groba has worked extensively on the detailing and implementation of sophisticated timber structures. He has a keen interest in designing structures that create unique and beautiful spatial experiences, as well as implementing ideas down to the last detail and finding feasible and sustainable solutions. He has extensive experience in managing detailing processes and coordinating specialist teams.

Dirk Kruse
Dirk Kruse was born in Lübeck in 1968. He trained as an energy electronics technician at PreussenElektra AG and then studied electrical and civil engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig. From 1994 to 2013, he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut (WKI), ultimately serving as head of department. Since 2006, he has been a managing partner at Dehne, Kruse Brandschutzingenieure GmbH & Co. KG. He has taught at the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde since 2009 and has held a professorship in fire protection since 2018.

Andreas Neurohr
The qualified architect has worked at Kleusberg in Remseck since 2021. He has worked in sales, project development, and product development, with a focus on modular construction methods. He has a particular focus on the “school construction kit” in hybrid modular design, an innovative approach to modern educational construction. He is also involved in teaching at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, where he instructs a course on building with prefabricated elements.

Torsten Prauser
Torsten Prauser joined the Alho Group on June 1, 2022. As managing director of Alho Systembau GmbH, he is responsible for the southern, eastern, and southwestern branches, as well as for project planning.
Torsten Prauser studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Siegen until 1996, graduating with a degree in engineering, and has held various positions in the construction industry, from planning and costing to sales and project management – starting with his work in an architectural office, moving on to sales at a modular construction manufacturer, and finally becoming head of the North Rhine-Westphalia division of a medium-sized general contractor in the field of industrial and commercial construction .
Torsten Prauser lives in Kreuztal, is married, and has one daughter. His motto: “Must prevents want, and want is the prerequisite for can.”

Alexander Schechner
Alexander Schechner is CEO of Envola GmbH. With the company founded in 2019, he aims to drive forward the energy transition with pioneering, climate-friendly and highly efficient building air conditioning. Alexander Schechner was already intensively involved with hydropower during his studies in communications engineering and physics. After more than 10 years in management positions at Voith Hydro, he founded his own company in 2014. With Envola GmbH, Schechner is placing a fully integrated and intelligent overall system for technical building equipment with impressive synergies and a high degree of pre-integration - and production.

Matthias Schodlok
Matthias Schodlok is a civil engineer and architect and runs the Adobe Architekten + Ingenieure office together with a partner. The young team of architects and engineers develops sustainable projects, with a focus on timber construction and, increasingly, existing buildings.
Thanks to the office's interdisciplinary structure, many services can be covered internally. Matthias Schodlok contributes his experience in design and project management in particular.

Daniel Wolf
Since May 2025, Daniel Wolf has been a sales engineer for modular construction at Kleusberg in Remseck, near Stuttgart. He brings in-depth expertise and practical insights into modern construction processes, having earned a degree in industrial engineering with a specialization in construction and gained many years of experience building with prefabricated elements. His expertise covers element-based and modular systems with varying degrees of prefabrication. He is passionate about sustainable construction, which he pursues through the use of ecological materials, flexible usage concepts, feasibility, and the subsequent convertibility of modular buildings.
In his daily work, he prioritizes close communication with architects, planners, and clients. He knows how to balance technical requirements with economic and design aspects to develop customized modular construction solutions.

Frank Kaltenbach
There are few other journalists who can enjoy such an international network in the world of architecture as Frank Kaltenbach. Born in Stuttgart, he has been part of the Detail editorial team since 1998. He studied architecture at University of Stuttgart and at Arizona State University in Phoenix (USA). Before discovering his passion as an architecture journalist, he worked as an architect in Tokyo, Vienna and Munich. His expertise includes complex structures and large international projects. As a passionate photographer and writer he has travelled to many countries from Europe to Asia. Frank also shares his enthusiasm for architecture as a discussion moderator and member of various juries. He teaches History of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

Jeanette Kunsmann
Jeanette Kunsmann, author and architecture journalist, is editor-in-chief of Detail. Her topics are architecture and building culture, design and art, city and society. From 2013 to 2016, she was editor-in-chief of the daily BauNetz news and the weekly magazine Baunetzwoche. She then developed the cross-media magazine DEAR with Stephan Burkoff on behalf of Heinze GmbH, which she managed as deputy editor-in-chief from 2017 to 2019. Publications include ARCH+, AW Architektur & Wohnen, Baumeister, Domus, FAZ, FAS Reise, Häuser, IDEAT, Jovis, Mitte/Rand, Ruby Press, Stylepark, uncube magazine; co-founder of the publishing house Mitte/Rand; architecture diploma under Dieter Eckert at the Technical University of Berlin.
