More Room for Digital Planning and Building

The new halls C5 and C6 at BAU 2019 bring a certain restructuring in their wake. An important focus here is on the future subject of Digital Planning and Building Processes. For the first time, BAU-IT, which has become the largest exhibition of its type in Europe, will occupy the entire hall C5. Visitors to the trade fair will find all types of IT solutions for areas as diverse as tenders and awards, invoicing, project planning, project management and controlling. For example, G&W will present the new version 10 of California.pro, which further automates the BIM process. Orca, with Orca AVA 23, has both implemented new technical features and modernised the look, while RIB places the focus on continuous, model-oriented planning and building throughout the entire value creation chain with iTWO.    Of special interest to architects will be the exhibitors who present their new products for Building Information Modelling (BIM), because BIM is not software, but rather a future-oriented working method, which will make the processes of planning and building in the future more reliable with respect to both planning and implementation, and also more transparent. All well-known manufacturers are represented in this sector: Allplan, Autodesk, Computerworks, Graphisoft, Softtech and Trimble. A new feature in hall C5 will be the Digital Village, implemented by BAU with the support of DETAIL. The focus will be on digital initiatives related to all aspects of building. In addition to a small forum, there will be opportunities for presentations by start-ups, software providers and in general for the building industry with its digital concepts for the future.
