The terminal is to resemble pavilion that functions as a gateway: The building’s main feature will be a central transparent outdoor space accessible to departing passengers around which the flow of arriving and departing passengers will be organized. UNStudio’s Kutaisi Airport will be used by international diplomats, national politicians and for tourism and is scheduled to open in 2012.
