New Porsche Museum to be opened in January
The new Porsche Museum in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen will open on Saturday 31 January 2009. Finally, now that the scaffolding has been removed, it is possible to see the architecture of Delugan Meissl. Inside the building the majority of approximately 80 exhibits are already in place.
The 5,600 square metres of exhibition space are supported on just three so-called cores of reinforced concrete – hence just seeming to hover in space. A restaurant on the second floor has both a view through the glass façade onto the Porscheplatz as well as through the glass partition into the exhibition itself.
