Office Architecture in the Context of Global Competition

The Business Club is a contemporary office planning concept which requires less space yet offers a higher standard of work environment. Rather than work stations being assigned to individual workers, the concept is based upon different locations being allocated to specific activities and utilized only when required - thinking carrels, group work rooms, team zones, informal interaction and meeting rooms, reading zones and so on. Each worker is responsible for the selection of his work location according to the activity to be carried out.
The principle planning requirement is to maximise the quality of interaction; to enhance the work environment with spatial alternatives capable of encouraging social and functional communication between individuals. The paths between task, decision-making and solution are to be shortened; the work processes to be accelerated, the community spirit to be strengthened - in short, commercial success to be secured.
